Current Favourite Summer/Spring Fragrance: Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh – The Chicster Diaries
HiyA Lovelies, My preference of fragrance changes as per the season like most people. During the summer and spring I like wearing fragrances that are not too intense but rather prefer lighter crisp scents. Today, I will like to disclose one of my all time favorite summer/spring fragrance by Marc Jacobs.
Fact-O-Meter: Marc Jacobs Daisy has been a signature fragrance of the brand. Since its launch in 2007 it has been one of the best selling Marc Jacobs Fragrances. The Marc Jacobs Daisy fragrance later on included other fragrances in their line named Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight Eau de Toilette, Marc Jacobs Daisy Black Edition Eau de Parfum, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Eau de Toilette, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet and Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Eau de Toilette. Among all the Marc Jacobs Daisy fragrances that I came across the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Eau de Toilette stole my heart. This fragrance was launched in 2011 and I must say they have done a splendid job with it. Not only is the bottle of this fragrance mesmerizing as you can see in the pictures but the scent is equally.

Claims: A whimsical interpretation of the original Daisy fragrance, this scent is more fruity, more bubbly, more fun! Open the bottle and you’ll be transported to a field of sunshine that bursts with the flirty scent of flowers and the cheerful sweetness of fruits. Its light, woody base infuses a subtle but sharp glimmer of musk for an unexpected twist of radiance. Fun to look at, touch, and open, the gold top of the weighted glass bottle is covered in six soft-to-the-touch daisies with petals in white, pink, and yellow.
Top notes: grapefruit, green notes, raspberry and pear
Middle notes: jasmine, rose, violet, litchi and apple blossom
Base notes: musk, virginia cedar and plum.
Style: Exhilarating. Bubbly. Playful.

Results: The description of this fragrance and claims made by it are really apt. I am totally lovestruck by the pretty bottle which is decorated with daisy flowers on the top. I would not lie that but the packaging was one of the aspects that really did lure me into purchasing this product. I would like to describe this fragrance as a perfect balance between fresh and floral notes with a hint of fruity notes. A light, clean and refreshing scent that is not too overpowering at all and great for spring or summer time.
The first time I had tried this product was during my visit to Debenhams where I accidentally came across this fragrance searching for the original Daisy fragrance. I instantly was in love with the scent as all I could relate it to was a bright sunny day in the meadows. It was then that I made up my mind that I ought to have it as my ultimate summer/spring fragrance. Finally, I purchased this bottle during Boxing day sale and even with the discount I got, the price was still pretty steep. However, I knew it on the back of mind that sooner or later I would end up buying the bottle so purchased it then itself. The 75ml bottle usually retails at £50 but during the sale I got it for £40.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh upon application has intense raspberry notes that lingers on for a good amount of time. I enjoy the raspberry notes which have a hint of floral notes gradually added to it. I find the mixture of the floral and fruity notes quite pleasant as its not too sugary sweet like Prada Candy. Towards, the end when the base notes settle in, the scent becomes more crisp with a hint of musk and cedar notes to it. The longevity is around 5 hours roughly and would not last you all day. Considering that it is a Eau de Toilette I would not have expected it to last for much longer than this and am more than happy with its saying power.
Overall Verdict: Though the price of this fragrance is on the higher side, it has fared well for me in all the aspects like packaging, scent and longevity. I am on my second bottle and within no time this has become my go to day wear fragrance. Thumbs Up!
