Today I will be reviewing for you one of the items on my Christmas Beauty Wishlist: The Real techniques Core Collection Brush set. Speaking of the Beauty Wishlist, now that I have all the items on the list I don’t know if I should be glad or a bit concerned about it LOL. So coming back to the brushes, in the past I have tried Real techniques eye starter kit and since then I have been absolutely in love with the RT brand. The Core Collection Brush set comprises of 4 bronze cum gold colored brushes that will help you achieve your perfect FOTD and a convenient to carry around panoramic case.

Results: I would surely consider this basics set as an absolute must-have in every girl’s vanity box. Most of all, I love using this set while travelling as the travel case cum stand makes it very convenient and easy to use. These lightweight brushes have an aluminium body with silicone handles for a better grip. The brushes are made up of synthetic bristles but they still give you the feel of soft, natural bristle brushes. The bristles are hand cut and 100% cruelty free.
Detailer brush: This tiny yet powerful brush helps me conceal my stubborn dark spots effortlessly. Due to its tiny size it does a marvellous job of concealing difficult areas like my cupids bow and near the inner corners of my eye. As per its description it can be used for lipstick application as well but I rather prefer to only outline my lips with a concealer.
Pointed foundation brush: This flat, tapered end brush works well with liquid foundation to give you intense coverage. Though the brush is a bit smaller compared to the normal foundation brushes and does take more time while applying foundation but I have noticed that it gives an even and smooth finish.
Buffing brush: The Buffing brush is another star product in this kit. It works well with loose powder as well as pressed powders. It provides a full coverage with an airbrush finish. I have heard that it works well with cream foundations too but I am more comfortable using the pointed foundation brush for this purpose.
Contour brush: Last of all the Contour brush, this brush is my most favourite brush in this kit. This brush works well while contouring and highlighting. Due to the sheer soft focus finish it provides I love using it with highlighters to get a natural dewy look.

Overall Verdict: If you are not planning on spending much on brushes but want to try good quality professional brushes then you surely need to get this all in one set. Recommended.
