Wednesday, February 10, 2016
Hello Chicsters! In the coming week I will be going on a mini vacation to Goa (India) yeayyyy!!! but before I leave I wanted to share with you lovely lot some of my travel beauty essentials. Goa at this time of the year has a pleasant climate at night but has a baking temperature in the daytime. So to cope with the temperature and climate change I have made a list of suitable skincare, haircare and lipcare products.

- Clinique Liquid Facial Soap – Oily Skin Formula: As I will be spending most of my time near the beach the humidity is surely going to make my skin more oily. The Clinique Liquid facial soap is one of the best face cleansers for people with combination-oily skin. I love using it mainly in summer and humid weather as it makes my skin squeaky clean but doesn’t strip it off its natural moisture and also keeps my oily T-zone in check.
- Soap & Glory Righteous butter (To be reviewed soon): A good body butter is a must for me in my night time routine. This nourishing tub of butter will help moisturise my dry legs. Also, I absolutely love using this before sleeping as it has a divine scent.
- Livon Moroccan Silk Serum:When you are at the beach not only your skin but even your hair gets very much affected by the sun, humidity and the salinity in the air. Along with a good cleanser and conditioner it is necessary to carry a nourishing serum on your trip. The Livon Moroccan silk serum is definitely a hit in this case as it has the benefits of moroccan argan oil and special UV filter. Love the way the serum detangles my hair and makes my hair feel smooth, soft and manageable.
- Vôtre face serum: Taking care of your skin during the day is not enough, even though you do not do your entire night process while you are on a vacation but carrying a good serum is a must. The Votre face serum will help you prep your face prior to makeup application as well as will even fulfil the core functions of a serum. Upon application the skin feels supple and revitalized without any dry patches. Most of all I like mixing a drop of this with my foundation and using it as it makes the product more blendable and gives an even finish.
- Avene Thermale water spray (To be reviewed soon): In the past few months the Avene Thermale water spray has been a star product in my skincare kit so it was obvious that this product had to be included in my list. This magic water helps reduce inflammation, redness, scaly skin, allergic reactions, irritation, burning, stinging, itching, tingling, sunburns and even set makeup. This all-in-one product comes in a travel friendly 50ml size bottle making it perfect to carry around.
- Natio Tinted Lip Balm: If you think purchasing the right sunscreen lotion is important then you must know that getting a lip balm with an SPF protection is equally important. This nourishing lip balm has SPF 30+ along with the goodness of Shea butter, Aloe and Jojoba. Although this balm is not very pigmented but I am fine with it as it keeps my lips moisturised for at least 3-4 hours.
- Lotus Sun block Matte Gel SPF 50+: I have tried a couple of sun blocks in the past which have a high SPF but the problem with them was the zinc oxide gave a whitish cast that would last for a long time as well as they would make my skin greasy. I mainly chose this sun block because of its matte gel formula. The light gel texture gets absorbed within a couple of minutes and settles into a comfortable matte finish making it perfect to use for reapplication.
- The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter: This is without a doubt one of the best cleansers I have used as of yet. On application, within a couple of seconds you can see the product melts the makeup and all the impurities. It gently gets rid of every last trace of stubborn waterproof makeup, leaving the skin clean and well moisturised. Also, the screw top and the solid butter texture makes it perfect to use while travelling.
Hope you liked this post? If you have been planning a similar vacation hopefully this list will be helpful for you. Do let me know in the comments section below if you like to add any other products to this list. Also, which are your favourite travel products?
